Due to an unfortunate accident in early February 2012 – a Vessel struck the Kentucky Lake Bridge which has made it impassable from the Western section of US/HWY 68 from Ken-Lake State Resort Park in Aurora, KY.
The Good News is you can still access Lake Barkley, Cadiz, Land Between the Lakes and Kentucky Lake by using the route Exit 65 off Interstate 24. This will bring you onto US/HWY 68/80 – just head west and you will pass the entrance to Historical Cadiz, Lake Barkley State Resort Park, and into the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. You can travel North and South in LBL on the Trace Scenic Route.
